Dog Mountain is an easy 1-2 hour hike hike from the Mount Seymour parking lot that offers spectacular views of Vancouver. What makes this hike great is that you can do it any time of year.
To access to the trailhead, park at the far end of the Mount Seymour ski area parking lot. From the parking lot, the trail begins a few hundred feet up the ski run to your left. At the halfway point of the hike there is a beautiful lake and the cliffs at the end offer sweeping vistas of the city of Vancouver, the Seymour Valley and across the Georgia Straight to the mountains of Vancouver Island.
